TERAHTALI DANCE
Members of the Kamada tribe perform Terah Taali Dance which is one of the ancient and most
popular Rajasthani folk dances and is performed with Manjeeras and other musical instruments. This dance
form depicts the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan and is a predominantly female performance. In this
performance, Manjeeras are tied to 13 different parts of the performers’ body. These Manjeeras’ sounds
create the 13 beats or Terah Taal. This beautiful dance form is depicted in a breathtaking manner and
can only be performed by professional dancers. It is also performed in the temple of the legendary
Ramdeoji located in Runecha.
